We're coming back in 2010 with a news about possible RWC 2010 Rule Changes ! It seems that there are some experimentation going on jRO about a new way of how team are going to be organized.
There is no 7 players limitation anymore. You can now build teams up to 10 players ! How ?!
Here is the way it works by now : Classes now have what is called "costs". Each team is allocated 21 points. Those point are used to "buy" classes in order to form a team.
All Classes are open "except" Gunslinger and Ninja (OH NOES !), and you can have multiples of the same class. You have to remember there are cost points that you can't go over ! The only exception to this rule is you can't have two of the same base class in match (HW + Wiz, Champ + Monk, etc) but (HW + Scholar, Champ + High Priest) is ok.
Here are also level limitations : Trans : 85/60 Non Trans : 95/50
The cost of each class are : 5 points : Assassin Cross, Biochemist, Sniper, Champion, High Wizard, Paladin, Scholar 4 points : Stalker, Minstrel, Gypsy, High Priest, Mastersmith, Lord Knight 3 points : Wizard, Crusader, Sage, Soul Linker, Dancer, Bard, Priest, Monk, Rogue 1 point : Assassin, Alchemist, TKM, Knight, Hunter, Blacksmith
The usual HP, Champ, HW, Paladin, Scholar, Minstrel, Stalker setup seems like "old school" by now... You can easily replace Paladin with a Crusader if you're only planning to use it as a devo/reflect char, in order to grab some points for another class. Or replace Sniper by Hunter if you've been using it for Arrow Shower only ! The less point you use, the more char you'll be able to get in your team.
They are also training on new maps !
Stay tuned for more infos ! Oh and for people mailing me about RWC 2009 videos, there is nothing online about it, Gravity hasn't released anything since they are planning to sell DVDs of the competition. Seems like we'll need to use our credit card this year if we want to see something about what happened...
